One-off guided lesson at the wheel
6:30 - 9pm, dates listed

Committing to a 5-week pottery course can feel like a big step - I understand! These one-off sessions are a chance to have a go at throwing on the potter’s wheel, before committing to a longer course. Come along and see if throwing is for you.

Class sizes are capped at 3 in order to provide as much tailored learning as possible.

Who this is for:

  • Complete beginners who have never thrown a pot on the potter’s wheel

  • Anyone who's taken a break from pottery and would like to give it another go

  • Friends or family who’d like to spend an evening together doing something a little different

Class duration: 2.5hrs

You’ll be guided through the fundamentals - no shortcuts!

  • Preparing clay and balling up

  • Coning and centring

  • Pulling up the walls to form a cylinder

  • Shaping and finishing

At the end of the session, we’ll choose your best pot which will be trimmed and twice fired for you, and ready for pick up a 3-4 weeks after your class.

Important things to note:

  • This class is suitable for ages 16 and over. Under 16s may attend when accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.

  • Cancellation Policy

If the class you’d like to take is full, I’d be happy to add you to the waiting list. Please email me at rachel@rbpots.com
