£250.00
sold out

5 Week Course
Thursday evenings 6:30 - 9pm
Dates: 14/1, 21/1, 28/1, 4/2, 11/2

This course is specifically for students who can throw independently, but would like a guided approach to new forms and techniques. Class sizes are capped at 3 in order to provide as much tailored learning as possible.

Note: If you're still fairly new to clay or throwing, I recommend starting with the Level 1 course instead. It provides a solid foundation and introduces the key techniques and processes you'll need to get the most out of future classes. If you're unsure whether this class is the right fit for you, please get in touch. I'm always happy to chat!

FOCUS:

Each set of 5 weeks focuses on a different form or technique - we’ll explore Thrown and Altered Forms this time.

We’ll look at joining and darting techniques to alter pots at soft and soft leather hard stage.

Course duration: 5 × 2.5hrs

Learning objectives:

  • Develop your skills as a maker and gain confidence to throw independently

  • Strengthen your foundational skills and troubleshoot common issues at the wheel

  • Develop trimming and finishing skills

  • Build good studio habits including clay and reclaim management

The primary focus of this course is to develop your skills as a maker and gain confidence to throw independently. The fees include firing of 4 small-to-medium sized pieces of work.

Important things to note:

  • These classes run over five consecutive weeks. Please confirm your availability before finalising your booking to ensure the best experience. As class sizes are kept small, rescheduling sessions will not be possible.

  • This class is not suitable for under 16s.

  • Cancellation Policy

If the course you’d like to take is full, I’d be happy to add you to the waiting list. Please email me at rachel@rbpots.com
